What are the CCS office hours? What are the pick-up procedures? What is the inclement weather policy? What is the CCS Uniform Policy? How can I order from Land's End? Does Covenant Classical School have After-school care?
School Hours K-4 Program - 8:00a.m. - 12:00p.m. Kindergarten Half-Day - 8:00a.m. - 12:30p.m. Kindergarten Full Day through 12th Grade - 8:00a.m. - 2:30p.m.
Pick-up procedures The Full Day Kindergarten – 12th grade utilizes a carpool procedure for safe and effective loading of students into cars. The general procedure requires cars to enter the paved side parking lot, follow the loop and the first car lines up with the first brown side door. Students will be lined in the gym and are moved by supervising teachers to their cars. As soon as a car is filled, they leave as directed and another car moves to the loading area and the procedure repeats itself until all students have been loaded into their cars and leave campus. K4 students and Half Day Kindergarten students pick-up takes place under the portico.
No parking is allowed under the portico or around the front median during pick-up. If a student is delayed, the parent must park the car in a designated parking area to wait for the student.
Pick-up for students in grades Full Kindergarten – 5th grade begins at 2:30. Grades 6-12 will begin at 2:45 and follow the same procedure. Upper school students will report to the gym by 2:45 and wait for the supervising teacher to call them to the foyer for pick-up.
Inclement weather policy Whenever there is a major concern with weather, either snow or hurricanes, please set your AM radio dial to 1110 WBT radio, or turn on your television to WBTV channel 3 , WCNC channel 6 or WSOC channel 9. In addition, please call the CCS Voicemail at (704) 792-1854 after 6:00 am. The school will always err on the side of safety for your children, rather than take any chances whatsoever. In the event of a mid-day weather problem, you will be notified by the same means indicated above regarding the decisions. But, with the advance warning techniques of the National Weather Service, you will have ample notice to assure the safety and well being of your children.
